The murder of young tennis player Radhika Yadav has become a topic of intense discussion. Her father, Deepak Yadav, has been remanded to judicial custody for 14 days following the incident. Meanwhile, Radhika's friend, Himanshika Singh, has shared her thoughts on the matter. She revealed that Radhika often felt suffocated at home due to her family's constant disapproval of her choices.
Himanshika, who has known Radhika since 2012, claimed that Radhika was frequently targeted by her family for wearing shorts, talking to boys, and living life on her own terms.

According to Himanshika, Radhika faced strict control over her activities. She was given rigid time limits for going out and returning home. Himanshika noted, 'When she was on video calls with me, she had to show her parents who she was talking to. Even though the tennis academy was just 15 minutes away from her house, she still had to adhere to strict deadlines for returning home.'
Describing Radhika's family as 'very conservative,' Himanshika expressed that they were troubled by almost everything. In an emotional post, she criticized Radhika's father for making her life 'miserable' through his 'controlling behavior and constant criticism.' She wrote, 'They shamed her for wearing shorts, talking to boys, and living life on her own terms.'

Himanshika fondly remembered Radhika as a 'kind, sweet, and innocent' friend who loved making videos and taking pictures. However, over time, Radhika's interests began to fade. Himanshika disclosed that Radhika faced 'a lot of pressure at home.' She stated, 'There was social pressure on the family. The parents were always worried about what people would say. They were very conservative.'
Her friend also mentioned that Radhika did not socialize much and mostly stayed between her parents. There were 'many restrictions' at home, leading Radhika to feel 'suffocated.' According to Himanshika, Radhika had to be 'accountable for everything.'
